Mike has over 18 years of experience in the legal industry, first as a lawyer and then as a recruiter. He is proud to be from a small and ethnically diverse corner of East Vancouver. A first generation Canadian, he learned early the value of hard work and never to let an opportunity pass unexplored. After earning his law degree in British Columbia, he traded his beloved Canucks cap for a cowboy hat and joined a leading Calgary law firm. Fast forward a few years and his adventurous streak surfaced again, taking him across the pond to a Silver Circle firm in London, England. But despite the cool accents and warm pubs, Mike felt the tug of his Canadian roots. He returned to Vancouver, joining the local office of a Seven Sister firm. Transitioning to legal recruitment shortly thereafter felt like the natural convergence of his varied life experiences. Now Mike is a seasoned recruiter who is relied on by law firms and companies to bring together talent and opportunity. His diverse legal background combined with his genuine and affable nature is appreciated by those looking for a career change, or those looking to build their legal team or find a merger partner. When Mike is not recruiting, he can be found at the hockey rink watching his kids play and making an effort not to interfere.
